Stephen
I have been hairdressing since leaving school at 16, I started working with my father and sister when I qualified aged 18. I bought my father’s business 18 years ago when we relocated to Cow Vennel.
Now in my 37th year in hairdressing I am still passionate about hairdressing and continue to work full time on the salon floor. I also work as the Scottish La Biosthetique cutting educator.
I am a great believer in training with the salon and I am very proud that more than half of my existing qualified stylists have been trained here since leaving school.
Kerri
I have been working in The Cutting Room since 1993. I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing and specialise in hair and scalp analysis which includes hair loss therapies and any scalp issues such as psoriasis and other scalp problems. I also specialise in wedding hair and often travel out with the salon for bridal parties. I am part of a team the trains our trainees in all the newest cutting techniques and styling.
In my spare time I enjoy motorbiking around Scotland with my other half and am an avid reader. I have raised two children and enjoy baking with my son and going to theme parks with my daughter and enjoy the occasional night out with me friends.
Nicola
I started at The Cutting Room in 2005. I love the hairdressing industry, being creative and making people feel good at the same time.
I regularly attend colour seminars for L’anza and La Biosthetique; this enables me to teach salons all over Scotland, different techniques and colour knowledge. It’s also taking me to amazing places and to meet new people. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family and friends, girly days with my daughter, Zumba and chilling at home with a movie.
Milly
I have been a part of The Cutting Rooms team since November 2018, I finished my SVQ Level 2 in November 2021 and have now finished my SVQ Level 3. In January 2022, I became a certified Keratin Revolution Specialist which is a keratin defrizzing treatment. I have learned so much about hairdressing and about working with the rest of The Cutting Room team. The salon offers an intense La Biosthetique training programme which is helping build my knowledge and confidence in the hairdressing industry.
I have always been passionate about hairdressing and beauty since I was very young. Out with the salon I have an interest in makeup and enjoy spending time with family and friends.
Georgie
I joined The Cutting Room in 2013 after leaving school; I completed my SQV Level 2 in hairdressing then decided it wasn’t what I wanted to do.
Fortunately, I was offered the position of being the salons From of House, which I love. I enjoy being in a salon environment and continuing to see our clients.
I am a dog mom of Otis, my little fur baby! Outside of the salon I spend a lot of my time on dog walks and lunching with the girls or a chilled night in but I do like the adventurous days out quad biking, bungee jumping and anything that is exciting.
Fun fact about me - I love John Deere Tractors and even have a tattoo of one.

I completed my NC Wellness Therapies and HNC Beauty Therapy in UHI Perth. I have also attended extra courses for hands and feet to upgrade my qualifications. I am delighted to have joined the The Cutting Room Salon. I have been in the industry for 6 years and I am very passionate about beauty therapy. I love meeting new people and making clients feel welcome and relaxed.
Outside of work I love spending time with my family and friends. In my free time mountains are my second home I love hiking there.
I love to do all beauty treatments but my favourite treatments to do are facials and pedicure.
